Are you having fun?

Are you having fun? Are you learning? Are you proud of yourself?

These are the questions I ask my two-year-old almost daily. They are expansive inquiries, guiding towards a day of experience and joy and growth.

Curious, isn’t it, that we don’t ask adults these questions much do we?

When did we forget about fun, and learning, and self-reverence?

Why do we prioritize everything else before the exhale, the bliss-chasing, the exploration?

Perhaps it’s the book I’m reading that’s reminding me to prioritize these inquiries for myself.

The book is quite provocative and all about the souls that have volunteered to be here on earth during this tectonic shift of consciousness.

It describes how most people forget they signed up for this. Most people forget their high frequency joy is actually one of the most helpful contributions to the planet earth. Most people forget they are helped by innumerable unseen forces.

It’s an excellent remembrance that we came here to learn. We came here to experience happiness - at times against all odds - and we came here to fall in love with the infinite vastness in us again and again and to remember we are not alone in these endeavors.

As I meditate and tune into these questions I can almost feel my higher self, my guides, all the subtle forces conspiring for my greatest food wondering - at the edge of their seats:

Are you having fun?

Are you learning?

Are you proud of yourself?

If you’re quiet and still enough, I bet you can hear yours too.
